Guilt and self-doubt have a profound influence on your ability to avoid relapse. While you are running around asking everyone else to forgive you, start forgiving yourself. Healing happens when you are at peace with the way things are.

No matter how far along you are in recovery, you will need to talk to someone. Family and friends can help, but honestly they are probably a bit biased. Therapy and support groups give you insight. You can learn about your behaviors and get advice from people who understand what you are going through.
